CITIZEN CORPS OVERVIEW

Mission Statement

The primary mission of the Northampton County Citizen Corps Council is to harness the power of every individual through education, training, and volunteer service to make communities safer, stronger, and better prepared for terrorism, crime, public health issues, and disasters of all kind.

Membership

The Council consists of county emergency management personnel, the first responder community (law, fire, EMS, etc.), elected/appointed officials, leadership from nonprofit organizations, community and volunteer based organizations and faith-based groups, representatives from local health departments and public health agencies, representatives of major industries, Medical Reserve Corps, and emergency response team membership base.  The Northampton County Citizen Corps is continuously looking to expand our membership base.  If you would like to have your organization represented on the Citizen Corps Council or would like to volunteer for Northampton County Citizen Corps, please contact us using the information listed here.

The Citizen Corps Council serves more than 293,000 residents throughout the County of Northampton.

Meetings

Public meetings are conducted on a bimonthly basis at the Northampton County Emergency Operations Center, 100 Gracedale Avenue, Nazareth, PA  18064.
